I’m going to show you how to use a social sharing plugin called Blog2Social to link all of your social accounts to your WordPress blog. If you can, I would recommend watching the video above, but if you need to stay quiet, I have made this blog as informative as I could!
Why is Social Sharing Important for Your Blog?
A website is only as good as the traffic that comes to it. So if you have a beautiful website but no traffic, then you need to put some work in to change that. When Google crawls websites around the world, one of the main things it is looking for is backlinks. Backlinks are like gold in the SEO community.
With the right backlinks, you can rule the world… well, maybe not the world but definitely start getting your website known in your niche. One of the easiest ways to get started is with social media. Social Media channels like Facebook and Twitter are great and easy backlinks. Because of how long they have been around they have authority and because of the number of people on them, they have sharing power.
The problem is, posting to each social account can take a lot of time. With Blog to Social, you can easily post from your WordPress website to all of your social accounts without the hassle of having to post to each individual account.
Installing “Blog to Social” Social Sharing Plugin
So to begin, you want to log onto the admin area of your WordPress website. Find plugins on the left sidebar, hover and click add new. In the search bar type Blog2Social and Look for the plugin called Blog2Social – Social Media Auto Post and Scheduler.
Next, you will click install now and then activate. Once the plugin has been activated you can head over to your dashboard and you’ll see now on the Left sidebar we have Blog2 Social.
Using Your Blog to Social Plugin
So, again, you are going to hover over Blog2Social on the left menu bar and then you are going to click on posts and sharing. You’ll now see that all blog posts have been clicked on. Find the post that you want to share. Click share on social media.
Since this will be the first time you have ever opened this plug-in it’s going to have you connect to your networks. Click connect and now you can choose whether you want to share on a Facebook profile or a Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, you have a whole list of networks that you can share on here. In this example, I’m going to say “page” for Facebook.
When you choose what you would like to post to it will prompt you to sign in. Next, it will ask you if it’s okay to take all of your information.
I’m gonna say yes and it will take all my information to sell to me at a later date. You will be prompted to pick a group and for this example, I will choose The Mindful Merchants. Go ahead and click authorize. Now Blog to Social creates an automatic post for you. It draws data from your featured image and from your blog. If everything looks good you can share it.
Scheduling a Post
When you start using the free version of the plugin to automate your posts you are able to schedule immediately. If you are loving the plugin and want to spend a little dough you can upgrade to premium and get some special features. One of which is scheduling a post. You can schedule your posts to be released at certain dates during the month.
The reason I bring this up is that consistency with posts is a vital part of SEO. Google wants to see that you are active with your website. When Google sees that you are regularly posting or making pages you will start to rank better. I recently read an article by Neil Patel about this. He suggests making a schedule for yourself to write blogs and stick to it no matter what. Anyway, just a little added info for you.
Sharing Our Post with Blog to Social
You can share your post now to the plugin and head to your facebook page. You will see that it was successfully published. When I head over to my facebook the Mindful Merchants House of Marley Post has been published.
The plugin works fast. If you look at the time stamp you will see it was posted 1 minute ago. So there isn’t any waiting around. There you go, a quick and easy way to post your blog’s from WordPress onto all your social networks.
Some Finishing Notes on “Blog to Social” Social Sharing Plugin
Remember this is a fast and easy way to post your information to social. If you need to customize certain images for Pinterest then the free version of this plugin might not necessarily be exactly what you are looking for.
